We are now into October and it is that time of year where assignments and projects begin to build up. Sometimes it can feeling overwhelming with all the homework but staying organized can help reduce that feeling. Here are some ways to stay organized in college:
1. Get an agenda - buy an agenda, write your assignments, tests, presentations in the specific dates that you know when it is happening and can refer back so you don't forget. I put dates of what is due in the calendar part of the agenda for each month as an overview and then each week I add in more detail to the agenda of what is due that week.
Here are a few agendas that I would recommend:
2. Use your phone or computer calendar - Putting your events in your phone or computer or both (link your phone to your computer) can help as you can set reminders so that they automatically remind you on your phone. I like to put school events such as presentations or project meetings in my phone calendar so that it can remind me the day before automatically so that I can be prepared and not overlap my schedule.
3. Check your email - I would recommend checking your email or having your email linked to your phone so it notifies you when you have a new email. I have both my personal and school email linked to my phone so that any notifications related to school I can view. It is important to receive your school emails anytime in case the professor emails you regarding your class; ex. class cancellation, important notifications, etc.
4. Time Management - it is important to manage your own time effectively, if you have a routine schedule then it is easier to stay organized and manage your time.
5. Put up a calendar on your fridge so you can see it everyday and use it as a reminder as well.
